Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Field Associate II in Waterman, IL to contribute to R&D field trials across crops such as corn, soybean and more. You will coordinate with growers, supervise staff, and conduct in-season research activities while utilizing agritech tools to collect and analyze data.

With travel up to 15% and potential extended hours during peak seasons, the role requires a valid driver's license, ability to drive company vehicles, and DOT readiness. Domestic relocation may be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, by December 2026.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with connected systems and data management.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating in a team-based environment.
• Ability to learn and operate research agriculture equipment, including precision agriculture technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with growers on leased land space and supervise local staffing.
• Conduct in-season research activities such as phenotyping and data analytics review.
• Develop detailed experimental protocols to support advancement decisions.
• Use tractors, planters, harvesters, drones and digital tools to collect, analyze, and deliver data.
• Partner with Field Associates and cross-site teams to improve data quality and SOPs.
• Travel up to 15% and work extended hours during peak seasons.
