Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Groundperson to support transmission line work in Maryland. This full-time, non-exempt role involves assisting in installation tasks, maintaining a safe jobsite, and coordinating with crew members and property owners.

Responsibilities include clearing sites, performing ground-level excavations, and handling a variety of tools. A CDL license is required, and travel to storm or out-of-state assignments may be needed. Pre-employment screens apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background and/or MVR check.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Assembles material on the ground to be installed by the lineperson or apprentice.
• Exposed to traffic and may be required to have training on traffic flagging.
• Operates various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come a long, jack hammer and hand line etc.).
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate work to be performed.
• All other duties as requested by Supervisors.
