Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is hiring an Field Training Officer (FTO) to lead security training on a datacenter campus or metro location in Irving, TX.

You will report to the Field Training Manager and collaborate with campus leadership and regional HQ to enhance safety and service delivery. You will onboard, train, certify, and continually evaluate personnel, track program progress, and drive improvements in training plans while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• 2+ years in security and/or business management.
• 2+ years training experience or equivalent.
• Data center and training development experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and sustain training as primary contact.
• Train and certify new security personnel; coordinate with OTJ tasks.
• Conduct ongoing training and evaluations to uphold safety standards.
• Track training completion across programs including new site starts.

Our client is an industry‑leading datacenter organization, and we pride ourselves on delivering best‑in‑class solutions through teams made up of Security Operations, Shared Services, Threat and Incident Management, Environmental Health and Safety, and Human Resources.

Location: Irving, TX

Pay Rate: $35/hour

About The Role

The Field Training Officer (FTO) serves as the principal training resource for a datacenter campus or metro location. In addition to providing training, the role may include problem resolution, service enhancement, and process improvement related to safety and training. The FTO reports directly to the Field Training Manager and works closely with campus leadership and regional and headquarters leadership. This position has no direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding and sustainment training
• Train and certify new security personnel, coordinating with Administrative Officers on OTJ tasks as needed
• Perform ongoing training and evaluation to maintain high security standards
• Track training completion (production, sustainment, new site starts, performance gaps, etc.)
• Promote and prioritize safety awareness across the campus
• Champion global and regional safety initiatives
• Coordinate with local leadership and PMO training teams to develop and implement training plans
• Recommend onboarding and training schedules based on staffing needs
• Conduct recurring training audits
• Prepare and submit critical and confidential reports to leadership
• Maintain training and safety documentation in alignment with policies and procedures
• Provide feedback on employee competence, compliance, and morale
• Identify security gaps and recommend improvements
• Evaluate and escalate potential safety risks

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree
• 2+ years of experience in security and/or business management
• 2+ years of training experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Data center and training development experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Excel)
• Reliable communication and transportation

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legal authorization to work in the job location
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one immediately
• Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic/international), sometimes on short notice
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when required
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening

• Physical requirements include:
