Job summary

The State of Indiana, through INDOT, is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician for the Fort Wayne District. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic control devices, with on-call duties and weather-related challenges.

On-the-job training is provided, and CDL is required within the first 90 days of employment. Ideal candidates will have electrical experience, ability to travel, and the capacity to work independently while meeting safety standards and certification

Qualifications

• CDL class A or B is required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge of traffic signal components and Indiana MUTCD is essential.
• Ability to read diagrams, electrical drawings, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, testing and installation of traffic signal devices.
• Replace malfunctioning controllers with temporary units when needed.
• Maintain and update electronic files of signals and equipment inventory.
