Job summary

Rekor Systems, Inc., a NASDAQ: REKR company, is seeking an Engineering Data Traffic Technician to join our Portable Traffic Data Collection team in Covington, GA. This role involves installing sensors, collecting data, and supporting field operations across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate is physically capable, willing to travel weekly, and comfortable working outdoors with Excel/Word proficiency and a valid driver’s license. Safety and accurate data handling are central to the position.

Qualifications

• Proof of High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel in-state and out-of-state on a weekly basis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Safely install all assigned equipment at sites located across the coverage area
• Review assigned tasks for the week, check the weather, and devise a plan to complete the work
• Maintain the working condition of all assigned equipment by replacing batteries and other parts as needed
• Notify manager of any issues that arise throughout the week
• Operate and park the vehicle safely and legally at all times
• Upload all data to FTP site
