Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Entry Level Field Testing Technician to join our Building Enclosure Testing team in York, Pennsylvania. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, travel most weeks, and a chance to grow a versatile career in building enclosure testing.

You will assist with field testing, communicate with clients, prepare reports, and coordinate projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months experience using hand and power tools.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time or more.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record.
• Ability to learn building envelope systems and testing standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on elevated platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and building envelope testing as assigned
• Assist with forensic investigations of building envelope failures
• Communicate with clients and project team about site observations, procedures, results, and reporting
• Prepare and submit accurate project reports
• Provide project coordination including planning, scheduling, execution and reporting
