Job summary

Intertek in York, PA is seeking an entry-level Technician to join the Building and Construction team. The role focuses on testing decking, railing, fencing, and wall panel systems in our Structural Systems Testing group, with on-the-job training and strong growth potential.

You will take ownership of projects, coordinate test scheduling, analyze results, and prepare concise reports for clients while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferred
• Ability to understand and communicate test procedures and results
• Familiarity with ASTM standards and building codes preferred
• General construction knowledge and experience using power tools
• Ability to write technical reports
• Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for assigned projects
• Manage all assigned jobs through Oasis (job progress, job notifications, documentation of test data, reporting, job closure)
• Coordinate test schedule with equipment and other department testing
• Check calibration status of test equipment prior to testing
• Analyze test results and write accurate and concise test reports that summarize procedures and results
• Communicate with clients regarding test preparation, procedures, and results
• Other duties as assigned
