Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Building Science Testing Technician to join our Building Science Solutions team in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The role involves field testing, inspections of building enclosure components, and reporting results, with up to 25% travel to various sites.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, construction testing experience, ability to use power tools, safety awareness, and the capacity to interpret test procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• General construction, carpentry, or construction testing experience.
• Experience using power tools.
• Ability to understand and communicate test procedures and results.
• Must follow safety practices and policies.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds+, etc.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% overnight.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and observations under supervision.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct air and water infiltration tests.
• Provide data assessment through reporting.
• Work with drawings, specifications and diagrams.
• Observe site activities and perform testing tasks.
• Make recommendations for improvements based on findings.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
