Job summary

ComEd is seeking aTesting and Commissioning Engineer for on-site field work at substations in the Joliet area. You will conduct testing, commissioning, and maintenance on protection, SCADA, and relay systems to improve reliability and performance.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, the ability to read schematics, travel to multiple substations, and availability for extended hours and storms. A engineering degree and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education/experience
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and use basic test instruments
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness to travel to various substations and work at varied shifts

Responsibilities

• Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on protection and control systems
• Perform testing and commissioning activities for new equipment installations
• Assist with troubleshooting, fault isolation, and field investigations
• Support outage planning, relay/SCADA database management, and maintenance programs
