Job summary

STIHL Inc. is seeking a Field Tester Engineer to coordinate prototype field testing across the United States and U.S. territories.

You will recruit qualified end-users, distribute test products, monitor performance, and report results to support product development. Responsibilities include assembling products, preparing field-test data acquisition, and collaborating with STIHL's R&D engineers to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related discipline preferred.
• 3–5 years in outdoor power equipment field with strong mechanical ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates prototype product field testing within the United States and U.S. territories under direction.
• Assembles and prepares products for field tests and data acquisition.
• Gathers run time data, analyzes failures, submits field test reports, and supports product development.
