Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Field Test Engineer for a contract role in Dallas, TX. The position is onsite 1st shift with a pay range of $45-$50 per hour on W2. The candidate will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and hardware updates on heavy‑duty trucks and prototype-level hardware, with hands-on responsibilities.

Independent work is expected, with a preference for strong Diesel Tech experience (10+ years). This role requires hands-on testing in customer operations and close collaboration with the

• Experience performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, hardware updates, and working directly on trucks.
• Comfortable working with prototype-level hardware.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision; strong Diesel Tech with 10+ years exp preferred.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostics of heavy-duty trucks, powertrain systems, and vehicle components in customer operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy-duty trucks and powertrain systems in customer operations.
• Update hardware and work directly on trucks with prototype-level hardware.
• Work independently with limited supervision to support field testing initiatives.
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostics of vehicle components in live environments.

Akkodis is seeking an Field Test Engineer for a Contract position with a client located in Dallas, TX. We are looking Hands-on diesel truck experience.

Pay Range: $45/hr - $50/hr on W2 (The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Work Setup: Onsite, Monday–Friday - 1st Shift 100% Onsite
