Job summary

Cable Services Company, Inc. is seeking a Lineman in Scranton, PA, to install, operate, repair, and maintain overhead telecommunications lines. Weekly travel is required with hotel expenses covered. Strong emphasis on safety, reading plans, using aerial lifts, and performing field documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year as Lineman.
• Experience operating truck mounted aerial lifts.
• Experience reading engineering/construction prints, plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction work such as digging holes, climbing poles, placing/removing poles and anchors, pulling and stringing wire between poles, laying cable and conduit in ground.
• Repair and maintain major cable systems and structures, including aerial to underground conversions and substructure repairs.
• Read work orders and specs to determine tasks to perform; operate aerial/underground equipment.
• Set up traffic control signs and cones; flag and direct traffic as needed.
• Complete timesheets, reports and expense documentation per company standards.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform work safely at heights over 20 feet.
