Job summary

Verita Telecommunications (VTC) is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead daily field operations on telecommunications construction projects. You will coordinate crews, uphold safety standards, and drive productivity in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership on site, clear communication between field crews and Operations Management, and a commitment to quality and customer service.

Travel and weekend hours may be required as projects advance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of telecommunications construction methods (aerial and underground).
• Experience with HDD equipment, trenchers, mini-excavators, bucket trucks, and climbing equipment.
• Familiarity with utility locates, dig laws (811), pole line standards, and depth/separation requirements.
• Ability to read construction prints, engineering plans, and telecom maps.
• Experience using digital reporting tools and production logs.
• Excellent organization, time management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct field crews including operators, linemen, laborers, locators, and subcontractors.
• Conduct daily tailgate meetings to review safety expectations, daily goals, and jobsite conditions.
• Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Identify skill gaps and provide coaching, mentorship, and corrective guidance when necessary.
• Foster a strong team environment built on communication, respect, and accountability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between field crews and Operations Management.
• Review, plan, and coordinate work activities to ensure efficient project execution.
