Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy machinery in Western Nevada, primarily around the Winnemucca area. The role emphasizes on-site service, precise diagnostics, and reliable customer support to uphold Komatsu's quality standards.

You will handle parts removal/installation, testing, and on-site troubleshooting while adhering to safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years related experience or equivalent.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work various schedules to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Timely Repairs: Complete assigned jobs within flat rate times to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to KEC/Customer safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation.
  • Regulation Adherence: Follow contamination control and HAZMAT regulations meticulously.
  • Technical Tasks: Perform parts removal/installation, component assembly/disassembly, and testing with precision.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide accurate and timely quotes to customers, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and recommend effective repairs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the correct operation of all repairs to maintain high standards.
  • Failure Analysis: Apply failure analysis techniques for accurate diagnosis and repair.

  • Policies and Procedures:Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Work Environment:Be prepared to work in varying conditions, including exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and occasional extreme elements. The noise level is moderate.
