Job summary

Valcourt Group in Tampa, FL is seeking a hardworking waterproofing installer assistant to support waterproofing treatments and concrete work on buildings and parking structures. You will follow established procedures, assist with application, and help troubleshoot coatings while maintaining safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 0-3 years in waterproofing or related fields, a good work ethic, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in waterproofing or related field.
• High degree of physical fitness and endurance to complete tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation to work without direct supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work extended and non-standard hours.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing and coatings materials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Waterproofing and concrete work.
• Perform leak investigations, water testing and repairs for water infiltration.
• Install waterproofing treatment using equipment per procedures.
• Assist in waterproofing application with various chemicals and coatings.
• Perform minor exterior repairs for concrete, masonry, sealant and waterproofing issues on buildings and parking structures.
• Access to work areas may require lifts and scaffolding; training will be provided.
• Perform integrity testing and troubleshooting to identify breaches or defects in waterproofing membranes/coatings.
• Ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are in working order; arrange replacements as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety practices and procedures.
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including building, trade, fire, and construction codes, and company policies.

Job description

Responsible for the installation of various waterproofing treatments and assistance in waterproofing applications and work.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Waterproofing & Concrete work
• Perform Leak Investigations, Water testing & repairs for water infiltration
• Install waterproofing treatment using equipment in accordance with established procedures and practices
• Assist in waterproofing application and work with a range of waterproofing chemicals and coating products
• Perform minor exterior repairs for concrete, masonry, sealant, and waterproofing issues on buildings and parking structures
• Access to work areas may require the use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, ladders, or bosun chair, to reach great heights inside and outside of buildings under construction. Training will be provided
• Perform integrity testing and troubleshooting testing to identify any breeches or defects in the project’s existing waterproofing membrane/coatings
• Ensure all tools, supplies, and equipment are in working order, and arrange for replacements as necessary
• Adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including building, trade, fire, and construction codes, as well as company policies.
