Job summary

GeoSonics, Inc. is seeking a full-time Field Technician to join our team in Chesire, Connecticut.

You will travel to diverse worksites across New England and New York to inspect structures, monitor vibrations, and support installation and operation of monitoring equipment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team, with strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions in a field setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in geology, engineering, construction tech, environment science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using digital cameras and video equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; travel to job sites required.
• Proficiency with computers and basic technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed condition inspections of residential and commercial structures.
• Perform on-site and remote vibration monitoring at construction and mining operations.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring equipment.
• Test, repair, and service technical instrumentation.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Provide field service and customer support.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.

GeoSonics, Inc., a nationally recognized seismic consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Field Technician to join our team in Chesire, Connecticut.

As a Field Technician with GeoSonics, you will travel to a variety of worksites, including residential properties, construction sites, and aggregate operations throughout New England and New York, to conduct building condition inspections, perform vibration monitoring, and support the installation, maintenance, and operation of monitoring equipment. This role also provides direct support to the Regional Manager and requires regular interaction with clients.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation (travel to job sites required)
