Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking Locate Technicians to accurately locate underground utilities such as electric, gas, telecom, fiber, water, and sewer lines. You will observe, mark, and document locations using multiple methods, and you may work independently or as part of a team under supervision.

Applicants must pass a background check and a DOT drug test. Benefits include health and life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid holidays, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• State issued driver's license is required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher multiple prints.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities by using transmitters and following inquiries to locate pedestals and buried lines.
• Work in varied terrains and weather conditions, both independently and in teams.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints and maps to efficiently route and perform duties.
• Perform locates during regular, overtime, and holiday hours as necessary to meet customer needs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers and third parties to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and tools needed for locating work.
