Peak Water Services is seeking a Field Technician Trainee to support the operation, maintenance, and documentation of water and wastewater systems. You will gain hands-on experience under supervision, with duties including inspections, basic maintenance, sample collection, and on-call responsiveness.
The role requires travel within a three-hour radius of Helena, MT, and a Monday–Friday schedule. A valid driver’s license is required, and you’ll work outdoors in varying conditions with safety PPE.

The Field Technician Trainee supports the operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and documentation of water and wastewater systems serviced by PEAK Water Services. Responsibilities may include assisting with public water and wastewater treatment systems, lift and pump stations, distribution and collection systems, residential and commercial treatment units, control panels, valves, hydrants, meters, sampling, inspections, cleaning, utility locates, and emergency response.
The Trainee is an entry-level role that performs routine field service and maintenance under the direction of a higher-level technician, operator, or manager while gaining hands-on experience with water and wastewater systems. The role participates in the on-call rotation and may respond to after-hours calls, alarms, emergencies, and customer needs as assigned. This position requires travel within a three-hour radius of Helena, MT, Monday through Friday.
