Job summary

Hamilton Barnes is seeking a CDL Driver / Underground Fiber Crew Member to haul equipment between job sites and perform hands-on underground fiber construction in Arizona. The role offers growth into crew lead positions as the team expands.

The ideal candidate will move trailers and machinery, operate compact equipment and hydro vac, and contribute as a key member of the crew on turnkey fiber projects for major ISPs and transportation programs.

Qualifications

• CDL license or proven experience transporting heavy equipment.
• Hands-on experience with compact excavation equipment.
• Underground utility or fiber construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physically able to work outdoors in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Haul 3500/4500 trucks and trailers and equipment between job sites.
• Run telehandlers, mini excavators and mini skid steers.
• Run and refill hydro vac units, and pothole utilities.
• Place duct, handholes and flowable fill, and support microtrenching.
• Follow site safety and traffic control procedures.

A newly created opportunity exists for a CDL Driver / Underground Fiber Crew Member to combine hauling equipment between job sites with hands‑on underground fiber construction. The ideal candidate will move trailers and machinery, run compact equipment and hydro vac, and work as a key member of the crew, with room to step up into a lead role as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Haul 3500/4500 trucks and trailers and equipment between job sites
• Run telehandlers, mini excavators and mini skid steers
• Run and refill hydro vac units, and pothole utilities
• Place duct, handholes and flowable fill, and support microtrenching
• Follow site safety and traffic control procedures

Skills/Must Have

• CDL, or solid experience transporting heavy equipment
• Hands‑on experience with compact excavation equipment
• Underground utility or fiber construction experience
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable, physically able to work outdoors in all conditions
