Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Baton Rouge / New Orleans, LA area is seeking a Field Technician/Surveyor/Rodman to support survey activities on outdoor construction sites.

The role involves setting up survey control, performing topographic, hydrographic and boundary surveys, and delivering precise layout data for marine structures, ports and bridges. The position requires working in all weather conditions, handling physical tasks, and coordinating with engineers and managers to ensure project

Qualifications

• TWIC card required for access to sites.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Prefer 5 years of Field Engineer/Surveyor/Rodman experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain survey control networks for construction.
• Conduct topographic, hydrographic, and boundary surveys.
• Provide layout and alignment data for marine structures, ports, and bridges.
• Capture construction dimensions and verify against design specs.
• Maintain high precision to ensure alignment with plans and tolerances.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environments.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers on survey needs.
