Job summary

Dragonfly Pond Works is seeking a hands-on maintenance associate to work outdoors year-round at Triangle, NC. You will operate and maintain pond and stormwater equipment and assist with landscaping, erosion control, and site upkeep.

Qualifications

• Experience in pond/lake maintenance or stormwater work.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication and the ability to motivate team members.
• Commitment to safety practices with chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow company policies and values.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment safely (slope mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, mini-excavators, skid steers, etc.).
• Perform manual labor tasks and operate hand tools.
• Maintain and repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (grading, erosion repair, planting, mowing, invasive species removal).
• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures, including: Turf establishment, mowing, planting, invasive plant treatment or removal, hand or machine excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, and site stabilization.

Pay

$18- $22 an hour- Full-time

Requirements

• Experience in pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, construction, or stormwater maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions
• Comfortable working around water, slopes, and environmental risks (bees, poison ivy, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate team members
• Commitment to safety practices with chemicals and equipment
• Ability to follow company policies and values
• Valid Driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
