Job summary

Dragonfly Pond Works is hiring a Corrective Technician to join our outdoor environmental team in Charlotte, NC. You will operate and maintain pond and stormwater systems, perform manual labor with hand tools, and help with maintenance and repairs under safety guidelines.

You should enjoy physical work, be able to lift up to 80 pounds, and work in various weather conditions while staying aligned with our values of quality, teamwork, and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, or stormwater maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around water, slopes, and environmental risks (bees, poison ivy, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate team members.
• Commitment to safety practices with chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow company policies and values.
• Team-oriented and aligned with Dragonfly's values: Quality Focus, Takes Ownership, and Growth Oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment safely ( mini-excavators, skid steers, slope mowers, front-end loader, backhoes, etc.).
• Perform manual labor tasks and operate hand tools.
• Maintain and repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (grading, erosion repair, planting, mowing, invasive species removal).
• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures, including: turf establishment, mowing, planting, invasive plant treatment or removal, hand or machine excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, and site stabilization.
