Job summary

Sunbelt Fire Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Breathing Air Technician to service SCBA equipment and breathing air compressors across Central and North Alabama.

You’ll perform maintenance, testing, and repairs, while building strong customer relationships and ensuring safety compliance. The role involves field service, documentation, and occasional overnight travel with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn field repairs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills for client interactions.
• Ability to follow manufacturer procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and flow testing of SCBA equipment as per manufacturer standards.
• Conduct SCBA testing using PosiChek and respirator fit testing with Quantifit.
• Maintain service vehicle inventory and submit service documentation timely.
