Job summary

Engineering Consulting Service is looking for a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician to join our Dallas team. This position requires no prior experience, as we provide paid training and cover certification fees.

The candidate will conduct tests and observations on construction materials, work under seasoned professionals, and communicate daily with site contractors. A high school diploma, lifting capacity, and a valid driver's license are required, along with the willingness to learn safety protocols.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials on construction sites.
• Perform routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers.

Skills

Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing)

Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors

Willingness to develop understanding of heavy construction safety

Education

High school diploma or GED
