Job summary

Flock Safety is seeking a Field Installation Technician to install, align, and service our solar panels, cameras, and related infrastructure in the field. You will work outdoors on rooftops and in various environments, ensuring safety hardware remains reliable.

This role requires up to 25% travel, lifting up to 50 lbs, and comfort using mobile apps to log service records and track inventory. Overtime is available, with stock options and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in low-voltage wiring, electrical assembly, construction, or technical field service environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors independently across dynamic daily routes.
• Capable of driving service vans, trucks, and towing small equipment trailers safely.
• Comfort using mobile applications to log service records, submit site photos, and track inventory.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute physical hardware installations and maintenance across camera systems, solar panels, batteries, and mounting poles.
• Conduct site surveys with public safety partners and property owners to verify traffic control plans and permit compliance.
• Perform site preparation including post-hole digging, mounting hardware, and aligning LPR and PTZ cameras.
• Diagnose and repair field hardware, software connections, and minor underground wiring or irrigation disruptions.
• Document completed installations, inventory logs, and service records via the mobile field app while managing local equipment shipments.
• Demonstrate hands-on mechanical aptitude with power and hand tools, including ladders, bucket trucks, and lifts up to 30 feet.
• Operate field vehicles and tow support trailers safely following safety protocols.
