Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a proactive Field Technician to join our Murfreesboro team. No prior experience is required as paid training and certification fees are provided. You will learn to safely perform soil, aggregate, and concrete tests under supervision.

You’ll work with skilled professionals, gain exposure to construction materials testing, and develop industry certifications while growing your career in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required for the role.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Willing to develop knowledge of CMT principles and ASTM laboratory standards leading to certifications.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills; able to work with contractors, peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete at construction materials sites under guidance of senior staff.
• Testing Procedures: perform routine field and lab tests following industry standards and project requirements.
• Data Collection: perform calculations and data reduction from tests and sampling.
• Communication: maintain daily contact with site contractors and project managers; report changes and additional testing needs.
• Training and Development: receive ECS methodology training and document findings precisely per engineering practices.
