Job summary

Clean Harbors, Inc. in Reserve, Louisiana is seeking a Field Technician Intern for the Summer 2027 Internship Program. This onsite, field-based internship will place you at HPC/Thompson locations in Reserve, LA, and involve travel to customer sites to gain hands-on exposure. May 17th or May 24th start dates.

You will work alongside experienced field professionals, learning industrial cleaning and field operations while supporting real projects that align with our safety-first priorities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or technical education in a related field.
• Willingness to gain hands-on experience in industrial services, field operations, or environmental services.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements.
• Team collaboration and effective communication in field environments.
• Ability to work outdoors and around heavy equipment, in varied conditions.
• Must prepare and deliver an end-of-internship presentation.
• Able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and monitoring of industrial cleaning equipment.
• Support inspections and identify deficiencies in hoses, pumps, and equipment.
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance and component installation or repair.
• Gain hands-on exposure to field operations and work with safety culture.
