Job summary

Race Communications is seeking a Field Technician III in Lancaster, CA. The role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom equipment and fiber networks.

Travel to Race offices and off-site locations is required; some on-site work at designated field worksite locations. The ideal candidate has a year of field tech experience, knowledge of fiber, and strong safety and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid driver’s license, subject to DMV verification.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of field technician experience.
• Understanding of fiber optic networks, basic telecom, and video.
• Basic knowledge of Apple iPad.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs residential installation and troubleshooting of internet connectivity, telecom, and video.
• Responds to support issues with truck rolls and phone support for on-site connectivity.
• Resolves LAN/WAN/internet/telecom/video issues.
• Conducts low voltage/fiber wiring and related troubleshooting.
• Offers remote assistance to other technicians and engineers.
• Ensures timely completion of work orders.
• Uses CRM for ticket management and resolution.
• Mentors junior team members and follows safety guidelines.
