Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Field Technician III in Marietta, GA. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems on rental equipment.

Requirements include at least 4 years as a diesel mechanic in construction or rental contexts, plus strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with a wide range of equipment. Excellent benefits and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience as diesel mechanic with construction equipment or rental background.
• Proficient troubleshooting of diesel engines, electrical systems and hydraulics.
• Experience repairing diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and drive trains.
• Must own tools valued over $10,000.
• TWIC or OSHA Basic Plus preferred and obtainable if not held.
• Basic computer skills for service work orders and parts ordering.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service including fluid checks and lubrication.
• Perform novice welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Prepare and maintain maintenance and warranty records.
• Assist with repairs on pumps, power equipment, and HVAC.
