Job Summary: The Field Technician III inspects, tests, and maintains electrical power equipment at various voltage levels, working with equipment such as SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers, transformers, grounding, and switches. Safety policies are a key responsibility.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead safety briefings and hazard mitigation.
2. Perform voltage testing as a crew leader.
3. Use error elimination concepts and tools.
4. Consult manuals, schematics, and engineers to troubleshoot and optimize equipment.
5. Maintain detailed reports of tests and repairs.
6. Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
7. Promote safety culture and lead team members.
8. Install, test, and maintain electrical apparatus.
9. Analyze testing results and develop reports.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willing to work overtime and travel.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with test equipment like Power Factor, Ductor, Megger, Hi-Pot.
• Knowledge of circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motors, PTs & CCVTs.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Electrical/Electronic Tech or Military experience preferred.
• 5+ years relevant industry experience.
• NETA III Certification required.
• Additional certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders, stand for long periods, lift up to 70 lbs.
