Job summary

Be Structured Technology Group, a Los Angeles-based MSP/MSSP, seeks a Field Technician II to install and support customer infrastructure onsite in the LA area. You will handle low-voltage cabling, hardware deployment, network troubleshooting, and on-site support while ensuring compliance with SLAs and best practices.

You'll build trusted relationships with clients, document activities, and coordinate with engineers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant IT certifications are a plus.
• 2+ years as a Field Technician or similar role in IT support, preferably MSP/MSSP.
• Experience with low-voltage cabling installation, termination, testing.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for onsite visits.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling and systems (ethernet, fiber, access control, AV).
• Provide on-site technical support, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Diagnose issues and escalate to senior staff as needed.
• Maintain records of onsite activities using ticketing and inventory systems.
• Follow procedures to meet SLAs and ensure compliance.
• Perform QA checks on deployed systems.
• Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Set up and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs).
• Assist with AV devices and access control hardware setup.
• Build positive relationships with customers and be primary contact for issues.
