Job summary

K Group Companies, a Grand Rapids-based technology service provider, is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install, configure and test low voltage systems across multiple sites. You will train customers on system operations and work within a team or independently to ensure accurate, high-quality implementations.

The role emphasizes precise execution, effective communication, and dedication to a reliable, customer-focused service experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on/field experience in related installations or service work.
• Basic IT networking knowledge and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and plans.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project quotes and scopes before onsite execution.
• Inspects installation sites, studies work orders and plans.
• Installs low voltage cabling, devices and systems per specs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on installed systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections as needed.
• Respond to service calls and customer inquiries promptly.
• Travel across the Midwest; weekends may be required; home most weekends.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure satisfaction.
