Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeks a skilled field service technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain oil injected and oil-free air compressors. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with industrial compressors, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and a disciplined approach to safety and documentation.

The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance, interpret manuals, order parts, and train fellow technicians while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing compressed air equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills; knowledge of single and three-phase power.
• CFC refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Experience on dryers and other compressed air equipment is a plus.
• Self-directed with excellent organizational and communication skills; proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions in compressors and perform repairs as directed per diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer schedule.
• Document operating parameters before and after service and repair tests.
• Maintain, overhaul, and repair industrial and oil-free compressors.
• Monitor breathing air to meet specifications.
• Interpret manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Order parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Train and assist other service technicians.
• Provide technical support to other departments.
• Uphold safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Deliver high level customer service and build rapport with customers.
• Represent the company with professionalism.
• Adhere to Lock Out Tag Out protocol.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete service data reports, time cards, and paperwork daily.
