Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. in Merrillville, IN is seeking a Field Technician II to support laboratory operations by collecting and delivering samples to the lab, following SOPs and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with automated sampling techniques and/or knowledge of sanitation and proper sample handling.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Associate degree in a related field of study.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle to collect and deliver samples to client locations and the laboratory.
• Provide exceptional customer service while upholding the Company’s brand and safe driving practices.
• Collect environmental samples and retrieve others for laboratory processing.
• Perform field analysis such as pH, temperature, and flow as required by sampling protocol.
• Maintain sampling equipment and storage per SOPs.
• Ensure proper documentation (Chain of Custody) is complete and accurate.
• Communicate with management about samples, schedules, and issues.
• Follow roadway laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Keep logs and records up to date.
• Prepare sample containers for customer use and labeling.
