Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks a Certified Welding Inspector to perform CWI observations on active construction sites and support CMT activities with on-site testing and observations. All services follow AWS, ASME, ASTM, ACI, AASHTO, IBC standards and AET QA/QC procedures.

The role involves coordinating with project managers, preparing inspection reports, and communicating with on-site personnel, with opportunities for training and career development in a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required.
• BS in Engineering, Architecture, or Physical Science with 6 months+ experience OR
• 2 years of technical school and 1 year of experience OR
• HS diploma with 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CWI observations on active construction sites and document results.
• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining QA procedures.
• Maintain current QA procedures and equipment calibrations.
• Maintain client contact and interface with project manager for proposals and testing schedules.
• Assist in promotion and marketing of AET.
• Provide training to obtain and maintain certifications.
• Conduct field, laboratory, and office activities in accordance with laws and QA/Safety policies.
• Interact effectively with diverse teams and work independently in the field.
