About The Company: At Electric Power Systems, we specialize in electrical acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance testing for clients across North America, including Utility, Generation, Renewables, Industrial, Transit, Data Centers, and Commercial Facilities. We are committed to safety and technical excellence in the power industry.

Job Overview: The Field Technician II inspects, tests, and maintains high, medium, and low electrical power equipment, working with various electrical components and implementing safety policies.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing testing of electrical power equipment independently.
  2. Consulting manuals, schematics, and engineers to troubleshoot and optimize equipment performance.
  3. Maintaining detailed reports of tests, repairs, and maintenance.
  4. Troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and cleaning equipment and components.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with voltage verification, contact resistance, insulation resistance, test setup, reading one-line drawings, understanding electrical hazards, and practical application of electrical theory.
  • Knowledge of LOTO, arc flash, grounding, and ability to test various electrical apparatus.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Electrical/Electronic Technology or military experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years relevant industry experience.
  • NETA II Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, stand for long periods, and lift up to 70 lbs.
