Job Function
This position is responsible for the operation of tools and equipment in a variety of customer work sites, primarily for industrial and/or environmental cleaning.
Essential Functions
- Arrive at branch or jobsite on time, in uniform, properly groomed, mentally alert, and physically able to work.
- Operate MPW vehicle (car or van).
- Set up the jobsite, including water blast hose or vacuum hose.
- Use equipment such as water blast gun, water lance, dry vacuum hose (6” and 8”), wet vacuum hose (6” and 8”), shovels, and picks.
- Strictly adhere to MPW Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Clean equipment prior to return to MPW branch location.
- Demonstrate initiative in executing assigned tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
- This position may be called in at various hours and days of the week (24/7) due to the emergency response nature of the business.
- Long and non-traditional hours are required regularly.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodation.
- Maintain a consistent workload involving physical manual labor.
- Maintain alertness and fitness for duty.
- Position oneself for work in confined spaces.
- Wear respirators in environments with chemicals or fumes.
- Travel to various states for days or weeks, with shifts exceeding 8 hours.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, with specialization in industrial or vocational trades preferred.
- Some High School Education acceptable.
- Valid Driver's License with CDL and current MPW Driver Points.
- Exposure to equipment or maintenance environments.
- Experience performing manual labor outdoors.
- 6-7 years of hands-on experience with tools or heavy equipment.
