Like all Dudekians, you are curious and solution-oriented, with the ability to adapt quickly to changes and approach challenges with a spirit of innovation.How You’ll Make an ImpactAs an as-needed field technician in the compliance fieldyou’ll be responsible for conducting weekly compliance inspections of four construction projects currently located near Cedar City, UT. These inspections will consist of an initial site and site visits of 3 hours thereafter. This role will inspect the site for proper material and waste storage, wetland and wildlife compliance, stormwater compliance, air quality compliance (visual only), and compliance with any reporting documentation that needs to be kept at the site. At the end of each inspection, the monitor will complete a form documenting all inspections. Results of the inspections will be reported to the construction manager immediately after each inspection and prior to leaving the site.This role is in our emerging regions and reports to the Project Manager.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify environmental risks in the field
  • Have a good understanding of stormwater inspections and BMP's
  • Ability to take comprehensive notes and fill out daily forms

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience conduction compliance inspections on a construction site
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work in extreme climatic conditions. Cold or hot weather.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment

Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A in Science
  • Able to work cooperatively with construction crews

Compensation:$35-40/hr/hourly*

  • *Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

Environment

  • This job operates in an outdoor or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • Outdoor activity may involve walking/trekking in uneven terrain over long distances in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • This job requires project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.

  • Working on a computer, sitting, or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
