JOB SUMMARY

The Field Technician II supports the overall operation of the laboratory by collecting and retrieving samples of various types, storing, and delivering them efficiently and safely while following all SOPs and safety guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate a company vehicle safely to collect and deliver samples to and from client locations
• Provide excellent customer service and promote the company's brand through professional interactions and safe driving
• Collect environmental samples and pick-up previously collected samples for laboratory delivery
• Perform field analysis such as pH, temperature, and flow as per sampling protocols
• Maintain sampling equipment and instrumentation
• Store samples according to SOPs
• Complete and ensure accuracy of legal documentation like Chain of Custody Forms
• Communicate regularly with management regarding samples, schedules, and customer needs
• Follow all roadway laws
• Keep the company vehicle clean and maintained
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation
• Prepare sample containers and assist with sample labeling and logging
• Provide technical assistance to customers or refer to senior management as needed
• Plan and schedule pickup routes based on customer needs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma
• At least 2 years of related experience
• Knowledge of sampling techniques and proper sample handling and storage
• Ability to set up and remove sampling equipment
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Attention to detail
• Good verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in a related field (preferred)
