Pape’ Material Handling, a premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a skilled Field Technician II to join our team in Arlington, WA. You will travel within your region to diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer sites, ensuring maximum uptime and customer satisfaction.

You will work on diverse systems including electric forklifts, LPG and diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment in the material handling field.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Driver’s license with good driving record; CDL preferred.
Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair a wide range of material handling equipment at customer locations.
Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on various systems.
Communicate clearly with customers and coordinate with Parts Department to order/return parts.
Travel within assigned region and maintain high uptime for equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Field Technician II, you’ll be the trusted expert keeping our customers’ material handling equipment running at peak performance. You’ll travel throughout your assigned area of region, performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance right at customer locations. Your day-to-day work ensures maximum uptime for essential equipment and peace of mind for the people who rely on it.

Each day, you’ll work on all makes and models of material handling equipment, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of systems including electric forklift systems, LPG and diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, carburetors, electrical and air systems, final drives, clutches, and more. Occasionally, you may assist with repairs in the shop as well. Your responsibilities will also include accurately troubleshooting equipment issues, communicating clearly with customers, and ensuring high-quality service is delivered on every visit. You’ll also work with the Parts Department to identify, order, and return parts as needed to complete each job efficiently and effectively.

WHAT YOU NEED:

3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, preferably in the material handling industry.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Driver’s license with a good driving record. CDL preferred.
Must provide own tools.

Compensation:

$30-42/hr (Depending on Experience)
