Job summary

Pape’ Material Handling, the premier capital equipment dealer in the West, seeks a Resident Field Technician/ Mechanic to cover the Brookings/Crescent City area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer sites, traveling in a fully equipped service vehicle and ensuring uptime.

Requirements include 5+ years of diagnostic/repair experience, strong communication skills, a valid driver's license, and ownership of tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years diagnosing and repairing equipment, preferably in material handling.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and ability to work with little supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and provide your own tools.

Responsibilities

• Work on material handling equipment at customer locations to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Travel within Brookings/Crescent City area in a service vehicle to perform high-quality repairs.
• Communicate with customers and ensure service is completed correctly and efficiently.

RESIDENT FIELD TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Field Technician, you will work on material handling equipment at customer locations to ensure that their equipment is running in peak form and maximizing uptime. Every day, picture yourself traveling the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on equipment, interacting with customers, and knowing that they can count on you to get the job done right.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 5 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, preferably in the material handling industry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivation and
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must reside in the assigned area of the region.

Compensation:

$34.50-46/hr (Depending on Experience)
