Job summary

Theuniversityunion is seeking a Field Technician I to provide technical support for rig up, rig down, and installation of high‑pressure lines used in completion operations. Responsibilities include staging materials, basic equipment setup, and maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Requirements include a high school diploma/GED, ability to travel to job sites, and willingness to work extended hours. Possession of required certifications for lifting equipment is preferred; training provided as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Zero (0) months of maintenance or operations experience.
• Policies, practices, and procedures of safety with equipment assembly/disassembly.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and guidelines.
• Principles of customer service.
• Identify and demonstrate proper use of all tools associated with assigned jobs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rig-up and rig-down activities under direct supervision.
• Support basic equipment setup by staging tools and preparing materials.
• Load and unload materials and equipment with supervision and secure loads as trained.
• Operate forklifts or cranes only after required certification and under supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe yard; organize materials and ensure clear walkways.
• Label, categorize, and stage materials and tools for job preparation.
• Complete and submit timecards and basic forms accurately and on time.
• Assemble, connect, and visually inspect equipment; escalate nonconformities.
• Safely load/unload materials and ensure proper transport security.
• Apply torque values to bolts and fasteners using calibrated tools.
• Assist with torqueing by preparing tools and supporting senior technicians.
• Apply surface preparation and painting to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Follow safety policies to maintain hazard-free environment.
• Be able to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Communicate discrepancies to Operations Coordinator.
• Travel to designated job sites as required.
• Attend meetings and briefings in person or virtually.
