Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Field Technician I to perform on-site technical support, installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance for various systems. The role includes work with low-voltage cabling, fiber optics, access control, CCTV, antennas, POS systems, and digital displays.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and be willing to travel to customer sites with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary tech education is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical or IT systems.
• Basic knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, security, networking or electronics.
• Experience with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varied environments.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support, installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of on-site systems.
• Assist with installation and setup of low-voltage cabling, CCTV, access control and POS systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coordinate with team members to resolve issues.
