Job summary

Lumen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician I in Macon, Georgia to support daily operations and maintenance under the Lead Technician. You will assist with cable runs, equipment installations, and site preparation, ensuring a safe and organized work area.

Responsibilities include inventory management, shipping coordination for tools and materials, and preventive maintenance on generators, battery systems, and HVAC equipment. On-call and 24x7 readiness may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 1+ year experience in network monitoring or installation.
• Knowledge of at least one major technician discipline: Transmission, Switching, TCP/IP, or Outside Plant.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and maintenance under the Lead Technician.
• Assist with cable runs, equipment installations, and site preparation activities.
• Perform facility maintenance, housekeeping, and ensure a safe work environment.
