Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Engineering Field Technician I in Westminster, Colorado, to join our Professional Services Industries team in the Greater Denver Area. The role involves performing testing, site observations, and data reporting under supervision in the A/E/C sector.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to travel up to 25%, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 30–50 pounds regularly. Certifications such as ACI, ICC, PTI, WAQTC are preferred.

Qualifications

• Some experience in the construction industry.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, hearing, and to make discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
