Job summary

isp.net in Las Vegas is seeking a reliable Field Technician to perform hands-on installation and maintenance of network equipment on client rooftops. You will work with our Engineering team to get customers connected and online.

You must be comfortable outdoors, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and willing to work at heights. A valid driver’s license, good customer service, and basic networking knowledge are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install & Setup: Safely install and uninstall equipment on client rooftops.
• Cabling: Run, install, and terminate shielded CAT5/CAT6 and RJ11 cables.
• Tech Deployment: Mount and physically install Access Points, Phones, Cameras, Routers, and Switches.
• Troubleshooting: Conduct routine field maintenance and basic physical troubleshooting with remote support and direction from our Engineering department.
• Safety First: Strictly adhere to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, your team, and our customers.

What You Will Do: In this role, you will handle the physical rooftop setup and cabling, then team up with our remote Engineering department to get the client connected and online.

Required Experience

• Hands-on field or technical experience

Preferred Experience:

• WISP, satellite, telecom, low-voltage, or similar experience

• Basic networking and IP knowledge

• Advanced WISP, networking, microwave, and specialized installation experience

Licensing & Background Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Confident working at various heights, including carrying a 32-foot extension ladder and safely navigating single- and multi-story residential and commercial rooftops.

• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Visual acuity to distinguish colors and fine details for installation and troubleshooting activities.

Shift and Schedule:

• 40 hours/week. Scheduled days will vary (Monday-Sunday).

Pay:

• $18.00 - $20.00 an hour to start
