Job summary

isp.net is looking for a Field Technician to install and service equipment on client rooftops across the Las Vegas valley. You will handle cabling, mounting access points, phones, cameras, routers, and switches, and perform basic field troubleshooting.

Requires hands-on field experience, basic networking knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors at heights. A valid driver’s license and strong customer-service skills are essential for success in this role.

What You Will Do:

• Install & Setup: Safely install and uninstall equipment on client rooftops.
• Cabling: Run, install, and terminate shielded CAT5/CAT6 and RJ11 cables.
• Tech Deployment: Mount and physically install Access Points, Phones, Cameras, Routers, and Switches.
• Troubleshooting: Conduct routine field maintenance and basic physical troubleshooting with remote support and direction from our Engineering department.
• Safety First: Strictly adhere to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, your team, and our customers.

Required Experience

• Hands-on field or technical experience
• Basic hand and power tool experience
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Good communication and customer-service skills

Preferred Experience:

• WISP, satellite, telecom, low-voltage, or similar experience
• Basic networking and IP knowledge
• Advanced WISP, networking, microwave, and specialized installation experience

Licensing & Background Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Confident working at various heights, including carrying a 32-foot extension ladder and safely navigating single- and multi-story residential and commercial rooftops.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Visual acuity to distinguish colors and fine details for installation and troubleshooting activities.

Shift and Schedule:

• 40 hours/week. Scheduled days will vary (Monday–Sunday).

Pay:

• $18.00 - $20.00 an hour to start
