isp.net in Las Vegas is seeking a dependable Field Technician to install and service equipment on rooftops, delivering safe, reliable internet connectivity for homes and businesses. You will run shielded CAT5/CAT6 cables, mount Access Points, phones, cameras and routers, and perform basic troubleshooting with remote engineering support.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, ability to work outdoors and at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to safety; benefits include

Responsibilities

• Install & Setup: Safely install and uninstall equipment on client rooftops.
• Cabling: Run, install, and terminate shielded CAT5/CAT6 and RJ11 cables.
• Tech Deployment: Mount and physically install Access Points, Phones, Cameras, Routers, and Switches.
• Troubleshooting: Conduct routine field maintenance and basic physical troubleshooting with remote support and direction from our Engineering department.
• Safety First: Strictly adhere to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, your team, and our customers.

What You Will Do:

• Install & Setup: Safely install and uninstall equipment on client rooftops.

Required Experience

• Hands-on field or technical experience
• Basic hand and power tool experience
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Good communication and customer-service skills

Preferred Experience:

• WISP, satellite, telecom, low-voltage, or similar experience
• Basic networking and IP knowledge
• Advanced WISP, networking, microwave, and specialized installation experience

Licensing & Background Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Confident working at various heights, including carrying a 32-foot extension ladder and safely navigating single- and multi-story residential and commercial rooftops.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Visual acuity to distinguish colors and fine details for installation and troubleshooting activities.

Shift and Schedule:

• 40 hours/week. Scheduled days will vary (Monday–Sunday).

Pay:

• $18.00 - $20.00 an hour to start
