Job summary

Park Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Field Technician I in Texas to learn and perform maintenance, repair, and operation of natural gas compressors. You will gain hands-on experience with readings, start-ups, and troubleshooting at on-site locations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and 1+ year of mechanical experience. Proficiency with MS Office and able to work independently are desirable traits. A valid driver’s license is typically required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read gas meters and report operational changes in logs.
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure equipment operates correctly.
• Understand function and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems on natural gas compressors.
• Set units and perform start-up procedures on location.
• Maintain replacement/repair parts for assigned units.
• Use hand tools to clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment and replace components as needed.
• Use electronic devices for troubleshooting and testing equipment.
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Participate in call-out rotations and respond to service calls.
• Submit accurate maintenance reports and paperwork.

Job description

The Field Technician I will be trained to safely set, maintain, repair and operate multiple types of natural gas compressors in their respective area for Park Energy Services.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Learn to read gas meters and instrumentation recording the amounts of gas received/delivered/consumed and report any operational, temperature and pressure changes as needed in operating logs
• Learn to watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly
• Learn the function and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems associated with natural gas compressors
• Learn to properly set units and perform start-up procedures on location
• Learn to maintain replacement/repair parts for assigned units
• Learn to use hand tools to clean, lubricate, adjust equipment, replace filters, gaskets and other items while identifying what kind of maintenance is needed
• Learn to properly use electronic devices for troubleshooting, testing or commissioning equipment
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance
• Will have call-out rotation responsibilities and respond to unscheduled service calls
• Submit accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork
• Maintain a current and valid driver’s license
• Other duties as assigned
