Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a Field Technician for the Indio/Coachella, CA area. You will perform high quality service and maintenance on a full line of equipment, adhering to safety and customer-focused standards. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and professional conduct in customer interactions.

The position requires local travel, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hydraulics and diesel engines are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on construction related equipment.
• Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
• Prior experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Background with hydraulics and diesel engines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand, pneumatic, and electric tools.
• Carry out tasks per verbal/written instructions and communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair full line of equipment represented by VCES.
• Wear and use required PPE.
• Work primarily in the field; may assist in the shop as needed.
• Understand equipment systems including hydraulic, air, electrical, and lubrication.
• Work around heavy construction equipment, including climbing to hard-to-reach areas.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Provide required parts ordering and follow-through on work orders.
